Cherow Spring Festival - Cherow, SC
Venues: Cheraw Community Center, Riverside Park, downtown and Cheraw State Park
Features arts and crafts, barbecue, a car show, canoe floats, entertainment, and a children's fair in one of South Carolina's oldest towns. A fun walk, trolley rides and a Confederate encampment with lantern tours and mock battles round out the weekend.

Flowertown Festival - Summerville, SC
Venue: Azalea Park
This charming historic community celebrates the passing of Winter with over 250,000 of its closest friends. Set in Summerville's lush Azalea Park, the Flowertown Festival offers a delight of arts, crafts, food, music and entertainment for all ages. Continuously rated a "Top 20 Attraction for April" by the Southeast Tourism Society the past three years.

12th Annual Oyster Festival - Columbia, SC
Venue: Capital City Stadium
Live music by Blue Dog, Villanovar, Mystic Vibrations, and Madison Fair and Tom Hall and The Plowboys. Advanced tickets are available at the Capital City Stadium. Buy one get one free before April 20; day of show tickets are $10 each. Parking is free, and no coolers or pets are allowed at Capital City Stadium.

May 3-13
Treasures of the Tidelands - Georgetown, SC
Sample a unique combination of artistic, musical, historical and cultural events. These diverse flavors are presented as part of the "Treasures of the Tidelands" celebration. May 17-20
Tall Ships Charleston - Charleston, SC
Feature the Charleston Maritime Festival on land and majestic tall ships from around the globe on water. More than a dozen of the world's most famous classic tall ships will descend on the waterfront starting May 17, 2007 in a parade of sail to be viewed from several waterfront locales. Governor Sanford will greet the ships and that evening honor the Captains and Naval Officers at the Governor's Ball. Friday-Sunday will offer a unique chance to board the ships, meet the crew, and witness a true cultural exchange. Ships are expected from as far away as India, Brazil and Oman. The free Charleston Maritime Festival on land will include pirate camps, classic wooden boat displays, sailing, rowing, children's village, family boat-building, maritime art, music, food and more. Key features also include a launch celebration of the Spirit of South Carolina tall ship and the start of the Charleston to Bermuda yacht race. Free family fun.

Harborwalk Festival - Georgetown, SC
Festival offers a theater performance, over 125 booths of arts, crafts and food, three stages of entertainment, kid's area, an antique car show, boat tours of the harbor, boat show, and ends with a Street Dance until 12am.

July 13-22
Beaufort Water Festival - Beaufort, SC
Attracting more than 100,000 visitors annually to downtown Beaufort and surrounding areas, the festival celebrates the Lowcountry's bond with the sea, featuring water-oriented activities along with many recreational and entertaining events like kids day, an antique show, Lowcountry Supper, an air show and crafts.

October 10-21
South Carolina State Fair - Columbia, SC
The South Carolina State Fair is celebrating its 137th year. The citizens of South Carolina will have exhibits on display varying from flowers, baked goods, canned goods, needlework, quilting, fine art, student art, livestock and agriculture. Commercial, historical and educational exhibits will also be be showcased. The 12 day run of the fair will feature grandstand entertainment, stages with variety of acts such as comedy, bands, dancers, local entertainment and entertainment from South Carolina schools across the state. Rides will be provided by North American Midway Entertainment.
