Global Fest - Glasgow, KY
Global Fest celebrates sixteen cultures including: India, Native American Indians, Mixed Cultures, Japanese, African American, Caucasian American, West Africa, Hispanic, Anglo-Saxon, Philippines, Italy, Germany, Ecuador, French and Middle East (Philistine) Celtic. The annual event stimulates cultural enlightenment while entertaining all ages with music, dance, foods and games. Global fest is a day of reaching out to one another, discovering the similarities and differences among people in our community. It is a day of promoting and encouraging interaction among diverse individuals. Global fest is an educational and awareness celebration of people with diverse backgrounds.

Monroe County Watermelon Festival - Tompkinsville, KY
First held in 1980, the Monroe County Watermelon Festival has grown to be one of the largest festivals in the area, attracting more than 10,000 people to Tompkinsville, Ky. on the Saturday before Labor Day each year. The Festival offers a wide variety of activities, most taking place in the downtown area, on or near the courthouse square. The opening event on Festival Day, the 5-K and Fun Runs start at 8 am on Saturday in the downtown area. If you like cars and trucks, you don't want to miss the Cruise-in. There will be a Rolley-Hole Marble Tournament involving a marble game unique to the Monroe County area, with the players mainly adult men using hand-crafted flint marbles. You'll want to watch the watermelon weigh-in at noon to determine the largest watermelon grown in Monroe County this year and see entries in the Decorated and Carved Watermelon Contests on display nearby. Kids will want to take part in the annual Watermelon Fun and Games (watermelon carry, seed-spitting and watermelon eating) to be held during the afternoon. There will also be an arts and crafts fair and food court, festival parade, art show, quilt show, pre-festival events, and all-day live entertainment.

Tri-State Gospel Singing - Elkhorn City, KY
Celebrate 54 years of Gospel Singing, the Parks largest single event of the season. Well-known gospel groups will perform. In the Park Amphitheater, Saturday, 12:00 noon - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Monday, 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Fraley Mountain Music Gatherin' - Olive Hill, KY
Traditional musical instruments such as the dulcimer, fiddle, and guitar are used to tell stories about life long ago along the foothills of Eastern Kentucky. Wednesday night is a free concert in the campground. Thursday open stage concert at the amphitheatre. Friday afternoon open stage, banjo, and dulcimer gathering. Friday night evening concert in the amphitheatre. Saturday afternoon open stage, ballads, storytelling, fiddle, and guitar gathering. Saturday night we have an evening concert. Sunday morning gospel music in the campground. Admission for the concerts and jam sessions range between $3 and $10 per person. Carter Caves Resort Park.

16th Annual Trimble County Apple Festival - Bedford, KY
The Trimble County Apple Festival has become the county's premiere fall event, and thousands are expected to attend the 15th annual festival. The two day event showcases the area crafts people along the tree lined courthouse square in downtown Bedford. The list of items to be found include folk art, antiques, candles, stained glass and much more. Festival food is always especially good, including apple dumplings, blooming onions, tater twisters, BBQ and more.

Apple Festival at Evans Orchard - Georgetown, KY

September Yearling Thoroughbred Sale - Lexington, KY
The Keeneland September Yearling Sale has evolved into the world's largest yearling sale. In 2003, more than 4,000 horses were cataloged for sale. Some of the top September Sale graduates include: 2002 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Winner, War Emblem, Johanesburg, Caressing, Kona Gold, Spain, Real Quite, Lemon Drop Kid and Victory Gallop. The first two days of the sale generally are considered "Select" meaning that the horses sold in those sessions are inspected and have met pedigree and conformation standards. Adam Matthews Hot Air Balloon Festival - Louisville, KY
With 100 hot air balloons attending. On September 29th, Friday afternoon at 6:00pm we will kick off the festival with live music, lots of food and at dusk the largest balloon glow in Kentucky history! Admission, which includes parking, is $5 per carload on Friday only. On Saturday the 30th we kick off the morning by featuring a very unusual and exciting race, a watership down! This race starts by our launching the balloons two miles outside Bowman Field in neighborhoods and flying into Bowman Field to compete for one of the nations top five prize awards for ballooning! The balloons will continue their flight from Bowman following a hare balloon that will launch from the field as the balloons fly in. Admission and parking is $5.00 until noon, $7.00 thereafter on Saturday.

Anderson County Burgoo Festival - Lawrenceburg, KY
For lots of good Burgoo, music, and entertainment, you will want to be at this festival with activities for everyone. On Friday, Burgoo will be served starting at noon, and there will be a Miss Burgoo Pageant. The Elvis Tribute will return this year. "Larry Sanders & BorderLine" Band will play for the Friday night concert. Another band, "After Hours," will also play Friday night, and they will be on the Main Street Stage at 7:00 p.m. Saturday's activities include a Farmers Market, Craft and Food Exhibitors, a Barbershop Quartet, Little Miss and Mister Burgoo Pageant, Boniest Knees Contest (for men), Karate Exhibition, Line Dancing, Back Seat Driver Contest, Bingo, and several Bands. Sunday's activities include an outdoor Church Service by Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church, music, a Pedal Tractor Pull for children as well as other Children's Fun Activities, and Elvis impersonator, Bill Kelly.
